The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) issued the following statement from Cinnamon Rogers, Executive Vice President of Advocacy, regarding the finalizing of language for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
“CompTIA applauds the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and Congressional House Members for finalizing the text in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). CompTIA strongly supports USMCA as this agreement not only modernizes the rules for trade in North America, but it also contains the strongest digital and intellectual property chapters found in any free-trade agreement. Canada and Mexico are the U.S.’ leading trading partners and support a significant number of U.S. jobs in all sectors. It is vital for the continuation of U.S. leadership in the technology sector to enter into a free-trade agreement with strong digital provisions and a digital framework.”
