Members of CompTIA’s State & Local Government and Education (SLED) Council have elected new leaders to serve on the group’s Executive Council.
The SLED Council engages with members to drive initiatives focused on IT modernization and procurement reform at the state and local levels. The group also provides members with opportunities to connect with government leaders to discuss the critical work technology companies do in the public sector.
Jennifer Axt, Vice President of SLED at Tanium, will serve as Chair of the SLED Executive Council, with Claire Bailey, Vice President of Business Development at KWR Acuity Strategies, and Shawn Rodriguez, Vice President of SLED at World Wide Technology, serving as Vice Chairs.

“This is an incredible group of industry leaders who are dedicated to improving how the public sector leverages technologies in order to enhance operations and deliver vital services to their communities,” said Gary Bixler, Vice President of Global Communities at CompTIA. “We look forward to working with them as we continue to serve our members who work with public sector customers. As the state and local government and education market continues to evolve and expand, our SLED Council will be here to connect our members with the people and information their companies need to succeed.”
The SLED Council, which is led by Jordan Kroll, Director of Public Sector at CompTIA, hosts events throughout the year that feature state and local government officials discussing business opportunities and important issues facing their operations and programs.
