Experts share valuable insights, information on how to protect organizations
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry and workforce, has published two new white papers designed to provide detailed cybersecurity best practices to managed service providers (MSPs) and give businesses a roadmap for keeping their digital assets and operations safe and secure.
The two white papers, now both available online, were developed by cybersecurity and MSP industry experts who are members of the CompTIA Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO).
“Fundamental Cybersecurity for Managed Service Providers”
This whitepaper provides the fundamental aspects of cybersecurity that a managed technology solutions business serving small-to-medium businesses needs to understand and implement. It is meant to help anyone seeking guidance—or is maybe overwhelmed by—implementing sound, best practice cybersecurity operations, technology, and behavior.
“Advanced Cybersecurity for Managed Service Providers”
The follow-up whitepaper focusses on helping any managed service provider looking for guidance on how to implement sound, best practice cybersecurity operations, technology and behavior. Specifically, this paper addresses advanced topics that are essential to a robust cybersecurity program.
“These white papers provide a vendor-neutral framework for all MSPs to better navigate the complexities of today’s cybersecurity climate,” said Sandy McGrath, operations manager at Final Frontiers Systems Corp. and a contributor to both publications. “We provide real-world recommendations and valuable guidance to help companies of all sizes protect their operations so they can keep all of their customers safe.”
Together, the two white papers represent a comprehensive collection of cybersecurity best practices that will benefit all MSPs.
“By leveraging the knowledge and experience of our members, CompTIA facilitates the delivery of critical peer-to-peer cybersecurity information along with applicable best practices that will have an almost immediate effect on a company’s cybersecurity efforts,” said Wayne Selk, vice president, cybersecurity programs and executive director of the CompTIA ISAO. “We’re proud of our members and their contributions to the tech industry.”
