Washington, D.C., -- The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) issued the following statement today from David Logsdon, Senior Director of the Space Enterprise Council, regarding President Trump's Executive Order, entitled “Strengthening National Resilience through Responsible Use of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Services.”
“The Space Enterprise Council welcomes this Executive Order from President Trump. For the past three decades, the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) signals from the U.S. Global Positioning System Constellation have helped drive innovation in almost every single business sector, dramatically enabled citizen services, increased first responder effectiveness, and ensured our warfighters are able to successfully execute precision operations. The Executive Order recognizes the critical importance of GPS in driving our economy, impacting critical infrastructure, and bolstering our warfighters by ensuring that the security, robustness, and redundancy of PNT capabilities are prioritized by our federal agencies. The CompTIA Space Enterprise Council stands ready to work with all PNT stakeholders to ensure a seamless implementation of the Executive Order.”
