CompTIA Space Enterprise Council and Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo To Host U.S.- Brazil Space Summit on March 18 in Washington, DC

Mar 6, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – The CompTIA Space Enterprise Council and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo will convene a summit of U.S. and Brazilian leaders focused on advancing space partnerships between the two countries. The invitation-only event will be conducted on March 18 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.

Sérgio Amaral, Brazilian Ambassador to the United States; Marcos Pontes, Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communications; and Scott Pace, Executive Secretary, National Space Council, are expected to attend. Other speakers and dignitaries will be announced in coming weeks.

The summit will focus on identifying additional opportunities for agreement on an agenda of government policies that encourage cooperation and joint projects to strengthen the roles of the U.S. and Brazil in the space economy.

The Space Enterprise Council (SEC) was founded in 2000 to represent businesses with a commercial interest in space. Throughout the years, the council has grown to represent all sectors of the industry including commercial, civil and national security space. As a forum for space-related companies, the council brings the collective power of its affiliation with CompTIA and its diverse members into a single, unified voice that is used in advocating member interests to policymakers.

The US-Brazil Space Summit is open to the media. All media must pre-register and RSVP to [email protected].
