DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity will be discussed by a panel of experts, including a senior research executive from CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the IT industry and workforce, at a Chicago Chamber of Commerce event this week.
Securing the Future: Unveiling the Power of AI in Cybersecurity, hosted by the Chicagoland Chamber’s Mid-Market Chicago, is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 12.
Seth Robinson, vice president, industry research, CompTIA, is among the business and industry leaders at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation who will explore the fascinating intersection of AI and cybersecurity.
“The technology trend capturing the attention of both IT teams and business leaders has been generative AI,” Robinson said. “Many believe that this new wave of AI, based on large language models, is the biggest tech paradigm shift in decades. The possibilities are exciting, but as with most technology trends the situation is more complicated than simply delivering overnight success.”
New research from CompTIA reveals that companies see the potential for a wide range of uses of AI that can help address the growing complexity of cybersecurity.[1]
“In some instances, AI may be used to strengthen practices already in place,” Robinson explained. “Other potential uses of AI are more novel; for example, predicting areas where breaches might occur or generating advanced tests for cybersecurity defenses to identify potential vulnerabilities.”
Registration details and other information on the event are available at Securing the Future: Unveiling the Power of AI in Cybersecurity.
