Chris (CJ) Johnson:

Chris Johnson is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Technology and Cybersecurity. As a cybersecurity compliance strategist at heart, Chris has dedicated his career to helping organizations enhance their cybersecurity posture. He has run a Managed Services Organization (MSP), sold his MSP, and moved into Cybersecurity Leadership and Compliance for regional and mid-market financial institutions. Later, he served as a Technology Director and Information Security Officer, influencing strategic IT decisions and implementing technologies that bolstered their cybersecurity defenses.

Currently, Chris serves as CompTIA’s Senior Director of Cybersecurity Compliance Programs. In this role, he is at the forefront of bringing the CompTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark to solution providers worldwide. His work champions the capabilities of MSPs looking to specialize in cybersecurity, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge necessary to protect their clients effectively.
 
Chris has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills throughout his career, particularly in roles that require guiding and mentoring individual contributors. His commitment to fostering future leaders is evident from his involvement in initiatives like the "Future Leaders" sponsorship program, spearheaded by Yvette Steele.
Chris's expertise is not just limited to leadership; he has also played a crucial role in strategic planning and execution, ensuring that his teams consistently meet and exceed their goals. His dedication to continuous learning and development underscores his belief in the transformative power of education.
