DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry and workforce, announced today that it is accepting applications for the Fall 2021 edition of its Aspiring Tech Pro Scholarship Program.

Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to 10 students who are pursuing a career in technology and are student members of CompTIA. A student membership in the association is free and available to any student interested in learning more about a career in technology.

“Our student membership program is a great entry way into the world of technology, whether you are firmly committed to a career in tech or curious about the opportunities available to you,” said Kelly Ricker, executive vice president for events and education at CompTIA. “As a student member you may be eligible to receive a scholarship award, an investment in your future as you work to attain your educational goals and embark on a journey to become a future leader in the tech industry."

The CompTIA Scholarship program honors aspiring technology professionals who are positively impacting their local IT communities, advancing the vision and mission of CompTIA and making significant contributions to the tech industry while enrolled in school as they prepare for a career in tech.

Scholarship applications are limited to self-nominations by students and may be submitted through October 15. All applications received by that date will be evaluated and scored by a selection committee. Winners will be notified by November 30, 2021.
