Do you need a social media makeover? Do you use Twitter and Facebook to drive your business? Are you on LinkedIn? Do you use a resource like Constant Contact to stay in touch with customers and prospects? Do you even know what your customers “like”? If the answer is no to any of these questions, you might be in need of a “social media makeover”.

At the upcoming CompTIA Breakaway in Washington, D.C., the first week of August, we are featuring the results of a social media makeover done for one lucky solution provider. Are you interested in working with a group of social media savvy 18+ year olds to evaluate, define and help your company deploy a cutting edge social media strategy designed to get you noticed? CompTIA is doing the makeover in cooperation with Edgewalk, which is the brainchild of Shari Marion-Hoff, the former CEO of Hawkeye Consulting.

The idea is to take a company and create strategies for who should tweet and what they should be tweet about. Learn how to find your customers online and how to engage with them and, maybe most importantly, see what they are saying about you. Social media can generate a tremendous amount of feedback and data, and knowing what to do with it is half the challenge. The makeover will help the company make sense of the noise.

The makeover will be featured at Breakaway along with a “fast facts” piece on social media in the IT channel to help other companies learn from the experience. Look for more social media education and training soon after.

Interested solution providers must be registered for Breakaway. Contact Scott Russell at [email protected] to complete a brief survey about your current use of social media. The makeover candidate will be selected by June 27th.
