How To Become a DevOps Engineer
On average, DevOps engineers will earn a bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or systems engineering, or have equivalent experience. Having common knowledge of SQL as well as other applicable software and systems already makes you a better candidate for the position. Other qualifications include:
- Being an excellent communicator and contributor to the organization
- Experience with scripting and debugging
- Natural problem solver
- Worked with performance analysis and running an operating system
- Knowledge of Linux to support tech systems
