There's true power in numbers, and the CompTIA Educational Foundation is looking to create some powerful philanthropy numbers. Not just with fundraising as you may think, but with bringing the philathropic power players together.
We're hosting a first-ever IT Philanthropy Summit with key technology foundation leaders to help set the future direction of philanthropy in the IT industry. The peer-to-peer planning summit will be held August 12 during our annual Breakaway conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Some of the IT industry’s best philanthropic minds will collaborate to publish a report that will drive new thinking, new initiatives, new partnerships and better, more impactful results from IT philanthropy. This groundbreaking collaborative effort will show all IT industry leaders what the future of IT philanthropy can look like and the impact it can have.
Some of the attendees already committing to the summit include philanthropic representatives from AMD, Applied Materials, CDW, Dell, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, SalesForce.com, Symantec, VMware and Xerox.
The invitation-only summit will provide participants the opportunity to leverage and collaborate with other leaders to make all industry philanthropic programs more effective.
Charles Eaton, executive director, CompTIA Educational Foundation, commented that, “This summit is a unique opportunity to bring together the leaders in IT that give generously back to society. By working in partnership, we can have a greater impact on our industry and help even more people in need improve their lives.”
