On July 27th, the CompTIA Space Enterprise Council and New and Emerging Technologies Committee jointly hosted the NASA CIO Renee Wynn. Wynn’s wide ranging talk covered several topics, including the challenges/opportunities of making NASA a more data driven agency, defining the CIO office’s role in the overall agency innovation strategy, benchmarking the first six months as NASA CIO, and articulating the role of IT and data to the NASA Transition team lead. Wynn also made mention of meeting with the respective NASA Field Center CIOs on a monthly basis. CompTIA plans to provide input to Wynn to assist her when she briefs the NASA Transition team lead.
