The ITSS Community of CompTIA has launched a new online tool to support industry talent acquisition.
The online resource lists high-demand IT positions that companies have the hardest time filling. Each job description is accompanied by a job description and example video, along with salary and responsibilities. The descriptions also include educational paths and CompTIA certifications needed to succeed in such positions.
Colleen Payne, president of Universal Adaptive Consulting Services Inc. and a member of the ITSS Community, said the online resource tool came about because members expressed a need for readily available and relevant career information.
“We wanted to add value to both CompTIA and our end-users by making as much information available as possible,” she said.
The new online tool joins the community’s newly released IT Earning Index, which provides salary information based on findings from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The ITSS Community is dedicated to helping technical services remain relevant and profitable today and in the future, including offering tools that encourage people to consider technology as a career. The group also works to increase the collaboration between service providers and vendors in the delivery of warranty services.
