Make Attending AMM a New Year’s Resolution

Cheers to 2013! Happy New Year, CompTIA members, partners and channel folk. On behalf of all of us at CompTIA, we wish you your best year yet.

The best way to kick off the New Year is to resolve to come to CompTIA’s Annual Member Meeting (AMM) in Chicago, March 12th and 13th. CompTIA’s AMM brings together 250 of our most committed and engaged members, working together in defined communities to drive the IT industry forward. Vendor/distributor channel execs and solution/service providers all come together to identify market opportunities, discuss execution strategies, eliminate obstacles and share best practices, charting a course for the New Year.

In any business, it’s easy to become inwardly focused. We get so busy managing internal issues, plans and strategies that our days fill up quickly with internal conference calls and meetings. With time at a premium, we must also focus on existing customers and partners and soon we spend much of our time swimming in the same circles. But it’s important to get out there in the industry. The power of networking cannot be denied and the potential to broaden your perspective, increase your knowledge and impact the industry – and have it impact you – is tremendous.

All 11 Communities and Councils – Managed Services, Cloud, Mobility, Security, Unified Communications, Managed Print Services, IT Service and Support, Advancing Women in Technology, Vendor, Partner500 and Telecom – will be holding meetings at CompTIA AMM. Joining one of these groups gives you a chance to step outside your familiar world, meet new peers and partners and interact with compelling thought leaders in your market space. No other industry forum gives you the opportunity to work in a non-competitive, vendor-neutral environment in which everyone is brought together by their similarities.

Attendees at CompTIA Community meetings discuss and address industry trends and challenges. With support from CompTIA’s industry leading research, education, training, skills/workforce development, advocacy, philanthropy, marketing, legal teams and more, solutions and resources are developed to drive individual growth, business revenue and overall industry opportunity.
