AMM 2016 Keynote Speakers Set to Deliver New Perspectives, Insights and a Bit of Magic

The event offers attendees two days of collaboration focused on strategic planning, engagement and a review of effective strategies from some of the channel’s most knowledgeable members.

With registration for our 2016 Annual Member (AMM) meeting now officially open, we’re excited to announce preparations are in full swing for one of our biggest events of the year. After all, AMM remains a cornerstone for our members’ collaborative efforts, a place where our communities gather to debate today’s most pressing discussion points and dominant tech trends. This year's event, which takes place March 22-24 at the Fairmont Chicago, will bring our members together to collaborate on new initiatives, set community agendas for the year and cross-pollinate ideas and experiences as we seek out new inspirations.

AMM is also a fantastic place to heardavid-robertson-poptech from influential voices in the channel, and this year we have two compelling speakers planned for the event. First up, David Robertson, a professor of practice at the Wharton School and host of Innovation Nation, will help kick things off on March 23 with his opening keynote, “Around the Box: A Low Risk, High Reward Approach to Innovation.” Robertson brings with him some exceptional career experience, including time spent as the LEGO professor of innovation and technology management at Switzerland’s Institute for Management Development. That experience gives him a unique outlook and compelling perspective on the channel, especially when it comes to industry advancements and technology management issues. His talk promises to explore how to reduce risk with complementary innovations, focusing on internal processes, structure, rewards, roles and systems, and review how companies like Valve, GoPro, Apple and Disney have leveraged similar strategies to great effect.

david-kwongWe’re also bringing some smart entertainment to this year’s Member of the Year Award Dinner, with David Kwong taking the stage to deliver a fun-filled, cerebral experience. Kwong—who is the crossword puzzle constructor for the New York Times and a consultant for major illusions in Hollywood (including work on recent films like “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” and “The Imitation Game”)—is set to deliver a talk that will dazzle and delight. With mind-bending puzzles and skillful sleight of hand, Kwong’s appearance promises wonder, humor and excitement.

Of course, it’s not just the speakers that make AMM such a compelling event—it’s the people who attend that truly make the meeting worthwhile. It's an event where topical discussions intersect with compelling collaborations, with a variety of people, opinions and viewpoints coming together, creating an environment that’s sure to spark some inspiration.

Every participant that joins us AMM 2016 strengthens the collaborative atmosphere, so be sure to register now to secure your spot and help us make this year's meeting our best yet.
