Former Cybersecurity Czar Urges Obama to Issue Executive Order to Protect Networks – Former White House cybersecurity chief Howard Schmidt last week urged Obama to take executive action regarding cybersecurity as that would encourage businesses to secure their own systems, says the National Journal. Known in both the George W. Bush administration and the Obama administration for giving low-key assessments, Schmidt said that he thinks it is counterproductive to use battlefield language when trying to put cybersecurity threats in perspective although cybersecurity is a serious issue.
