On June 23rd, The CompTIA Human Services Information Technology Advisory Group (HSITAG) hosted Commissioner Rafael Lopez of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) along with Terry Watt, ACYF’s Director of State Systems and the Children’s Bureau. Commissioner Lopez outlined the ACYF’s improvements and new approach to procuring child welfare systems in partnership with state governments. ACYF is in a transition mode and has released a number of new regulations related to their Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System, or CCWIS. Many HSITAG members are involved in these projects at the state level and must ensure state systems meet federal compliance and requirements for funding.
