International Partnerships Drive the Training Industry Forward

In today’s global economy, leaders in the training industry must keep up with trends not only in their region, but also worldwide. Industry partners need to work together, no matter where they are located. CompTIA Colloquium gave attendees a look at how some of these international partners are working across borders to drive the IT industry forward.

In Mexico, industry partner Norma Valdez from Accithia Learning is working toward integrating certification in the learning centers’ curriculum. Accithia Learning also is creating yearly technology projects competitions for students which will include CompTIA certifications. Teachers also are being added to the scope for Valdez’s group. Valdez and her peers are creating yearly competitions for teachers who have technology experience to continue to drive their motivation for leading students into the industry.

Already in 2011, Accithia Learning has certified 200 students at Universidad del Valle de Mexico in the bachelor’s program of in Information Technology in CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+.  Another 200 students were certified at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico.

PeopleCert, a global player in the industry for more than ten years, promotes the value of professional certification to businesses and individuals around the world. Alejandro DeBenedet stressed the importance of collaboration among organizations like PeopleCert and CompTIA to spread the message of the value of certification through universities, government agencies and training centers. Certification has an international appeal for individuals and employers and it’s up to industry partnerships to drive new talent into the industry.
