Strata is now available within Creating Futures. To help disadvantaged and disabled individuals open up a career in IT, GTS Learning Inc. donated 1,000 CompTIA Strata eBooks to the CompTIA Educational Foundation’s Creating Futures program.
Creating Futures will provide Strata training and certificates at no costs for military veterans, individuals with disabilities, minorities, women, at-risk youth and dislocated workers. CompTIA Strata exams are not certifications, but a confirmation of an individual's understanding of technology basics.
For individuals, completing a CompTIA Strata Fundamentals exam means proof of basic technology skills, and is designed as a stepping stone to a CompTIA A+ certification. For businesses, CompTIA Strata Fundamentals exams can help cut down on IT costs by ensuring that employees have a baseline understanding of hardware components and operating system technologies.
“Our eBook content for CompTIA Strata covers everything Creating Futures participants need to pass the CompTIA Strata Fundamentals of IT Technology exam,” said Robin Adda, managing director, GTS Learning Inc. “We’re excited to help bring this program to so many people who are now in the process of changing careers or are just starting out in the business world, especially those who just need a little financial help to get started.”
“No one should feel that they are blocked from a tech career based on their financial situation,” said Charles Eaton, executive director of the CompTIA Educational Foundation. “With GTS Learning’s generous donation, which will be matched by CompTIA dollar for dollar, we can bring hundreds of new people into the industry who will diversity it and make it even more robust. Donations to the Foundation truly enable us to change lives.”
Individuals and companies can make a donation and prospective participants can apply for training by visiting the CompTIA Educational Foundation website, http://www.CompTIA-EF.org.
