When we talk of our Breakaway conference and the slew of educational sessions we offer, most people normally think we’re talking education for solution providers.  More than 350 VARs are expected to attend Breakaway this August in Washington, D.C., but the conference is for the entire IT channel, not just the VARs. 


New at Breakaway this year, our Understanding Your Partners’ Business track includes four sessions to help vendors and distributors understand how their partners run their own businesses. Get recommendations on things you can do to build stronger relationships and increase your sales pipeline.


Need to know more on cloud computing, financial services, government sales, healthcare IT, IT security or unified communications?  We’ll have instructor-based foundations workshops to help your staff validate their business knowledge in these topics. A certificate of completion will be provided upon completion of all courses.


Plus Breakaway is key for gaining collaboration time with your partners.  Solution providers, vendors and distributors meet to create collective solutions to common industry issues.


Vendors and distributors also are welcome to submit speaker applications for our conference program.  The online application tool is open from now through May 16th.


Beyond education and collaboration, vendors and distributors can launch new products and programs in our Technology Vendor Fair and our virtual press room.  What’s the catch for being a part of the fair? Only CompTIA members can exhibit.  Vendor and distributor members get a complimentary 8x10 booth at Breakaway, and booth selection is already underway.  During the conference, attendees will participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the fair to help drive more traffic to your booth.


Another new way to get in front of current and prospective partners at Breakaway this year is our CompTIAccelerate Exhibitor Contest.  Recruit 30 partners by July 15 and get the chance to pitch your products and solutions to the entire Breakaway attendee audience. Spotlight your latest technology on the first-ever CompTIAccelerate stage where you’ll present your message to the entire Breakaway audience in five minutes and 20 slides.
