Through our work in advocacy, we have a good partnership with the NCTA, which is a member of CompTIA’s TechVoice Council. Working on this event helped strengthen that relationship even more.
Our joint Tech Roundtable featured Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and centered on the issues facing small businesses in the tech industry. I introduced Rep. Ellmers and spoke to attendees about CompTIA and our role advocating on behalf of the IT industry.
As a champion of the SMB tech entrepreneur, CompTIA’s advocacy efforts have helped us form a great working relationship with the House Small Business Committee. This relationship led us to work with Members of the Committee. For example, Rep. Ellmers recently spoke at a reception we had in March with our friends from the Technology Councils of North America – of which NCTA is a member.
We are pleased to be working with the Congresswoman and her office to help tackle issues such as cloud and data storage, both of which are important to the small- and medium-size IT entrepreneur, and it was a pleasure attending the NCTA State of Technology Conference, on behalf of CompTIA.
