CompTIA will invest nearly $1 million over the next three years in new educational programs for the IT channel, CompTIA President and CEO Todd Thibodeaux said today.
“I want to see every CompTIA member as ‘best in class’, ” Thibodeaux said at the CompTIA Breakaway 2010 opening keynote session.
CompTIA is looking to aggregate valuable content and knowledge from fields including healthcare IT, sales and marketing, financial management, and cloud computing. The not-for-profit association is looking to cultivate its network of subject matter experts to become coaches for members, he said.
On Wednesday, CompTIA will convene a Coaches Summit to discuss putting together a framework to encourage more individuals to become coaches in different areas of business.
“As anyone who has worked with a coach can attest, it can be a game changer,” Thibodeaux said. “CompTIA would like to help make that more accessible to those who need it and help coaches grow and define their practices and areas of expertise.”
